The best legal 9anime alternatives
Safe, legal replacements for 9anime that work in the US.

What happened to 9anime?
9anime rebranded as AniWave in 2023. On August 27, 2024, AniWave went offline along with several related sites, and two days later ACE confirmed it had worked with Vietnamese police to take down AniWave and FMovies together.
Like FMovies, 9anime lives on through copycat sites that reuse its name. They are unlicensed and depend on pop-up advertising, so they carry the same risks covered in our guide to FMovies clones.
